City of Lakes Loppet Winter Festival
A celebration of urban skiing and winter in Minneapolis! Happening February 3-4, 2024.
*Due to warm weather the Loppet is making some changes to this year's event. Races will be shortened and the Fat Tire races have been cancelled. Spectators will not be allowed on the course, but can hang out at the Trailhead. The Luminary Loppet will take place on land instead of on the lake.
What is it?
A cross-country ski festival for the whole family! The Loppet features ski races for all ages, skill-levels, and abilities. You’ll find skijoring races, a kubb tournament, a snow sculpture competition, sprint races, ice biking, and more. This is Minneapolis' biggest celebration of winter sports, lights, and artists.
Whether you're joining as a cheerleader or participant, you won't want to miss this annual Minneapolis tradition.
