56 Brewing uses local ingredients to highlight the Northeast Minneapolis community and culture. Their beer is produced at a lower volume in a micro-brewery, allowing brewers to focus on quality and consistency. Grab a pint or a flight and relax in their spacious taproom, or head to the patio for some sun.
Padraigs Brewing
Padraigs produces small batch beers of the highest quality to satisfy both the craft beer enthusiast and casual weekend drinker. The ingredients used in their line of beers are sourced as close to Minneapolis as possible, bringing true meaning to the idea of local beer. Broken Clock, a member owned cooperative in Northeast Minneapolis, is focused on more than just really good beer. Clockwerks Brewing
With a passion for session beers, Clockwerks creates flavorful, drinkable, well-balanced styles that make you want to take another sip, and then another. Think solid lagers, traditional bocks, session IPAs, and various light-bodied ales. In addition to their session beers, they typically have one or two big flavor, seasonal specialties in rotation.
Day Block Brewing Co.
Day Block is one of the few breweries in the downtown metro offering food, beer and a full-service bar. You’ll find pizza, sandwiches, salads and a variety of snacks to accompany your pint. But don't expect your typical bar food. With locally produced ingredients and food made from scratch, their entire menu is fresh and full of flavor.
Wild Mind Ales
This South Minneapolis brewery is tucked away in an industrial part of town, and specializes in creating complex, wild, farmhouse, and rustic ales through blending and barrel-aging. Also on the tap list are hazy IPAs, sweet pastry stouts, and lagerbier. Wild Mind Ales is family and pet-friendly and has a great patio for the warmer months. Fair State Brewing Cooperative
Minnesota’s first cooperative brewery brings the connection between brewer and community to life. From picking fruit to developing beer recipes, Fair State aims to get it's 1,500 members involved in every aspect of the brewing process. The result is a hard-working community of beer lovers, and a quality brew in your glass.
Falling Knife Brewing Co.
This 20-barrel brewhouse is willing to take some risks to create beer that is truly oustanding. Falling Knife specializes in blending new and traditional brewing techniques to create hop-forward beers with German and Belgian influences. They also offer table service – something you won’t find at most breweries.
Finnegans
Finnegans is the first beer company in the world to donate 100% of its profits to charity, with a focus on alleviating hunger in the upper Midwest. IPA's, milk stouts, sours, and various ales serve as catalysts to creating positive change in the community. Freehouse Brewery
This North Loop neighborhood spot is actually a brewery, bar, and full restaurant all in one. As Freehouse puts it, they take you "from breakfast to beer." Their staple brews aren't to be passed up, but if you're looking to drink outside the box, they have a special release menu that's sure to broaden your palate.
Fulton Beer
Claiming the title of Minnesota’s first legal taproom, Fulton has produced some of Minnesota’s most popular beers, including Sweet Child of Vine IPA and The Lonely Blonde. They've since expanded their product line to include experimental and barrel-aged brews, house-made hard selzters, non-alcoholic hopped sparkling water, and non-alcoholic beer.

Nestled along the train tracks in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, Indeed is a full-scale production brewery with an eclectic line-up of distinctive flagship brews, well-loved seasonal releases, and adventurous specialty beers.
